Chile is where the impossible becomes possible. It is the narrowest country in the world, stretching from the border of Peru and all the way down to the southern tip of South America in Patagonia. Chile is also the one country where you can visit three different continents; America, Oceania and Antarctica. To the north of Chile is the Atacama, the world’s driest non-polar desert, with Moon Valley comparable to the surface of Mars according to NASA. Central Chile is home to charming valleys nestled between the Andes and the Pacific Ocean that are bursting with flavor, while awakening your senses. You’ll find important and historical cities such as Santiago and Valpariaso, and many vineyards in between that continue to carry on with tradition. Off the coast is Rapa Nui, home to the Easter Islands and the isolated Chilean Polynesia, a one-of-a-kind destination with an aura of mystery. Heading south is a magical place with traditions full of wisdom and an ecosystem with many lakes, forests and volcanoes enhanced by the Mapuche culture. And finally, the south of Chile is where the fjords and glaciers are hidden in an unspoilt wilderness with green landscapes that will leave you in awe while you visit what seems to be the edge of the world.

Day 2 - Santiago (Breakfast)

We invite you to discover Santiago, a cosmopolitan city which has become one of South America’s most modern hubs.

Described by the international media as a surprising destination, Santiago stands out for being a cosmopolitan and modern city that perfectly combines its traditions with a modern outlook. The tour will take you to visit the heart of the city and its emblematic sites such as the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Santiago’s Central Postal Office and its Municipality. We will also visit the Moneda Palace, which is the government’s headquarters as well as the traditional neighborhoods of the historic city center.

The tour also includes a visit to the Santa Lucia hill, named Huelén by the natives. It is a real urban oasis in the center of the city. There we will learn more about Chile’s history and enjoy some of the best views in the city. After knowing Santiago, we will arrive to Barrio Lastarria, famous by it cultural, inherited and gastronomical offer. The second part of the tour will take you to the eastern side of the city, to the financial heart of Santiago, known for its modern buildings, impressive glass skyscrapers and its impressive sculptures designed by prominent national architects. There, you will see exactly why this area is known as “Sanhattan” among the locals.

Day 3 - Santiago (Breakfast)

You will pass through the Valley of Death and end the day contemplating one of the most breathtaking sunsets you will ever experience.

You will climb to the heights of the Andes at 4,200 meters above sea level to the Salar de Aguas Calientes, where you will find the famous Red Stones in the midst of a unique landscape of contrasting colors. you follow the road to the Altiplanic Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons, immersed in the middle of a magical natural scenery; we continue to the Chaxa Lagoon, an intense expression of the Salar de Atacama. You will visit Toconao, a typical Andean town that will leave us amazed with its architecture and church, declared a National Monument.

San Pedro de Atacama is the archaeological capital of Chile. You will travel to the past to learn about the Atacameña or Licán Antai culture. You will visit the Pucará de Quitor, the village of Tulor, the oldest settlement in the Salar de Atacama. In addition, you will share with a local family in an Atacameña Farm that combines the ancestral traditions of agriculture and cattle raising, tasting their local products. You will finish at the San Pedro Church.

 

VIÑA DEL MAR AND VALPARAISO EXCURSION (Full day) (USD $99/person)

Viña del Mar and Valparaíso are two of Chile’s unmissable destinations.

Known as the “Garden City”, for originally being surrounded by largely green areas and for now preserving its extensive and beautiful urban gardens, with the Pacific Ocean as its backdrop, Viña del Mar is undoubtedly one of Chile’s unmissable destinations.

Viña del Mar stands out for its beautiful architecture, its impressive palaces and famous Flower Clock, photographed by tourists from all over the world. During the tour, you will have the option to have lunch in one of the numerous restaurants in the city, with a variety of delicious sea food on offer.

We will travel along the sea front, and enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean, before arriving at the most important ports in Chile; Valparaiso. It was listed as a Unesco World Heritage site thanks to its colorful beauty and the uniqueness of its location on the hills, which create a natural Amphitheatre with the ocean as its stage.

We will visit Cerro Alegre, where you can truly appreciate the magic of the city, with its picturesque funiculars, multi-colored neighborhoods and unforgettable sea views.

We will then head to the Sotomayor Square, to see the Monument of the Heroes of Iquique.

​​​Once in the port, there will be the option to take a boat out around Valparaíso’s bay to enjoy the views of the colorful hills from a different perspective.
