Day 1: Home – Guatemala City

Take flight to Guatemala, the rest of day is yours to relax in the hotel.

Day 2: Lake Atitlan / Chichicastenango (Breakfast)

Full Day Tour to Chichicastenango, Lake Atitlan

Picked up from the hotel and transfer to Lake Atitlan, one of the most beautiful lake in the world. We will make a panoramic visit from EL Mirador, San Jorge. Atitlan is the ideal place to get in direct contact with Guatemalan folklore. The lake is surrounded by many villages in which Maya culture is still prevalent and traditional dress is worn. Its inhabitants are descendants of the Quiches, Cackchiqueles and Tzutuhiles. Continue to Chichicastenango. After Lunch, we will visit the largest and most picturesque indigenous market held outdoors. Hundreds of indigenous people arrive from dierent surrounding villages to sell and exchange their products. You can also admire the religious ceremonies that take place inside and outside the Santo Tomas Church, which is over 400 years old (notes: shorts or swimsuits are NOT allowed, nor is it allowed to TAKE ANY CLASS OF PHOTOGRAPHS INSIDE THE CHURCH). In the afternoon, we will return to Guatemala City.

Day 3: Antigua (Breakfast)

Full Day Tour to Antigua

Antigua is a small city surrounded by volcanoes that is located in southern Guatemala. It is known for its Spanish colonial buildings, many of which were renovated after the 1773 earthquake that ended the 200-year reign of Antigua as the colonial capital of Guatemala. Among the architectural monuments highlights the squat baroque church of La Merced. White and yellow, which is an integral part of the city’s famous Holy Week, during which parades and rituals are organized. Visit to La Merced church calle del arco main squared palace, cathedral, coca tour, jade factory and souvenir market.

Day 4: Guatemala City (Breakfast)

Tour Upgrade - Full Day Tikal with Lunch. (USD$399/person, include round-trip airfare)

Visit one of the greatest Mayan ruins in Central America – Tikal National Park. You will be picked up early this morning for your flight to Flores, Peten. Meet with your Tikal guide upon arrival. You will then be transferred to the center of the 222-square-mile park, where the ancient Mayan City of Tikal is located. An exhilarating jungle hike leads you through the ruins. Marvel at the impressive structures of this ancient civilization, visiting sites such as the Twin-Pyramid complex, the Lost World Complex, where the Great Pyramid is located, Temple III, the Palace of the Windows, the Great Plaza, the Pyramid of the Grand Jaguar, the Pyramid of the Masks, and the Palace of the Nobles. You will have an opportunity to climb to the top of Pyramid IV, the highest of the Mayan pyramids. Transfer to Lunch in Mezon Selvatico. At the end of lunch, tour to the colorful Flores Island, walk around the island and then transfer to the airport and fly back to Guatemala City.

Day 5: Guatemala City (Breakfast)

Day 6: Guatemala City - Home (Breakfast)

Enjoy breakfast, then drop off to the airport for your flight home.
