Few destinations rival the Kruger National Park. It is the largest game reserve in South Africa and is almost two million hectares of land, where its wild inhabitants thrive. It is an indescribable wildlife experience, and it ranks as one of the best on the African continent, the ultimate safari experience.   Your days will be filled with early morning and afternoon game drives, where each venture into the park holds something new to see. No two days in the Kruger National Park are ever the same and it adds an exciting element. After your time in one of the world’s greatest national parks, you will end with a tour of the Panorama Route, a collection of natural sights that will leave you enamored with the beauty of this country.

Day 1 Johannesburg – Kruger National Park (Dinner)

This morning you will be collected from your hotel, heading east to the Mpumalanga region. After freshening up at your lodge enter the world-famous Kruger National Park and spend the afternoon game viewing in your closed touring vehicle. The Park offers some of the best game viewing and wildlife opportunities in the world – and the visitor will soon appreciate the challenges of managing this unique reserve. Upon your return to the lodge, enjoy a Boma Dinner around a cozy campfire.

Day 2 Kruger National Park (Breakfast & Dinner)

The day begins with early morning coffee or tea, followed by a thrilling open vehicle game drive (with English speaking game ranger) through the Kruger National Park with pre-packed breakfast. Your guide will endeavor to spoil you with sightings of the “Big Five”, general game and prolific bird life. There is an option (for own account and subject to availability) to visit the Kruger Park Anti-Poaching Dog Unit. Learn about the dogs that are trained to track poachers in the field, detect firearms, ammunition and wildlife products that enter and exit through the Kruger National Park gates. A portion of the trip price of this MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience goes towards ensuring that these dogs receive the best possible care in support of the vital work they do. The experience directly advances UN Global Goal 15: Life on Land. Return to the lodge for lunch (own account) and a short siesta. In the afternoon we will journey once again through the magnificent expanses of the Kruger National Park, unrivalled in its diversity of flora and fauna. Enjoy an afternoon of game viewing in your closed touring vehicle pursuing the Big Five and other rare and endangered species. Optional (own account) open vehicle game drives are available. Return to the lodge for dinner served outdoors by the light of a campfire.

Day 3 Kruger National Park (Breakfast & Dinner)

Enjoy breakfast before setting out to explore the magnificent Panorama Route, one of the most scenic routes in the region, offering glorious views, spectacular landscapes, and exquisite waterfalls. Visit majestic sights including God’s Window, the Three Rondawels and Blyderiver Canyon – the third largest canyon of its kind in the world, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and the charming village of Graskop, one of the first gold mining camps in the country. Optional (own account) open vehicle game drives are available, should you prefer not to join the Panorama Route tour. Return to the lodge for a Boma dinner under the light of the stars.

Day 4 Mpumalanga – Johannesburg (Breakfast)

Enjoy breakfast before starting the return journey to Johannesburg. Arrive in Johannesburg, at OR Tambo International Airport, at approximately 14h30, where the tour ends on arrival.

US and Canadian passport holders do not require a tourist visa to enter South Africa.

Cancellation: In the event of services being cancelled 90 days or less, prior to arrival, the following land tour cancellation fees will apply.

 

  • 90 days to 75 days before commencement of services: 35% tour price.
  • 74 days to 60 days before commencement of services: 70% tour price.
  • 59 days or less before commencement of services: 100% of tour price

 

We recommend that you ensure have Travel Insurance protection at time of booking.

 

 

Special Conditions

For tours that include services of certain suppliers with more stringent policies, e.g., National Parks Board, Blue Train, Private Lodges and others, different cancellation fees will be enforceable. These will be provided when applicable.
