Day 1: Saturday: Arrival to Lima

Upon arriving in Lima, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel.

Our representative will give you a documentation kit with detailed program explanation. Luggage and hotel registration assistance will be offered.

Day 2: Sunday: Lima (B)

Visit the modern and colonial parts of the city of Lima the "City of Kings", beginning in the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. Pass by a Huaca or sacred pre-Inca site. There will then be a stop at Parque del Amor (Lovers Park) in Miraflores for its magnificent view over the Pacific Ocean. The tour also includes the Historic Centre based on the Main Square, where the Presidential Palace, the Archbishop´s Palace, the Municipality of Lima and the Cathedral are located, as well as a visit to one of the largest colonial-era convents.

Day 3: Monday: Lima - Cusco (B)

Breakfast. At schedule time transfer to the airport to board the flight to Cusco city.

Enjoy the charm of this beautiful colonial city that was built upon the remains of amazing Inca buildings. Not to miss: Temple of the Sun (Koricancha), San Blas artisan’s neighborhood, the Cathedral, and the Inca Fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

PM HD CITY TOUR AND RUINS (SIB) – (MINIMUM 2 PASSENGERS)

You will explore the city of Cusco, also known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will walk its streets where time seems to have stopped, where every corner tells a story. You will visit the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and center of worship to the Sun God, on which the Dominican order built a church, which remains standing to this day. You will continue ascending to the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, an impressive example of Inca military architecture. Afterwards, you will visit other places of importance within the Inca culture, such as the archaeological site of Q'enko. Finally, you will arrive at the Plaza de Armas (main square), where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important Catholic temple in the city.

Day 4: Tuesday: Cusco - Sacred Valley (B & L)

You will tour the Sacred Valley of the Incas, discovering its fascinating culture, surrounded by majestic mountains. You will visit a small and picturesque Andean town, where you will explore an important Inca archaeological site and learn about the local history. Afterwards, you will pause at a local restaurant for a delicious lunch. Then, you will continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the most representative architectural complexes of the Inca Empire and site of one of the Spanish Conquistadors' rare strategic defeats. Famous for its terraced fields, Ollantaytambo was a very effective fortress, that also served as a temple.

Day 5: Wednesday:  Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cusco (B & L)

At proper time you will board the train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu.

You are going to visit one of the most important energy centers of the world: Machu Picchu. You will be driven to the archeological site, the visit of which will be an unforgettable experience, with a professional tour guide to impart to you all the history that surrounds this mysterious and enchanting place. Once the guided tour is over, you will have some free time to explore the site on your own, to relax, or to meditate. At the agreed upon hour, you will descend to Aguas Calientes for lunch and board the train later that afternoon for the return trip.

Day 6: Thursday: Cusco (B)

Enjoy a unique experience filled with beautiful scenery, spectacular views, small communities, and opportunities to observe local wildlife. The Adventure awaits you! Don’t miss Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, Maras and Moray.

OPTIONALS WITH EXTRA COST:

FULL DAY VINICUNCA RAINBOW MOUNTAIN (SIB) – (MINIMUM 2 PASSENGERS)

You will leave your hotel in Cusco early in the morning, crossing the South Valley, towards Cusipata. From there, you will be transferred to Phulawasipata where you will begin your walk. After some time to prepare, you will start with the ascending route to Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain. The place will amaze you with its vivid colors and natural beauty. There, you will have time to take photos and fill yourself with the energy of the place. At the end of this visit, you will walk back to the starting point. Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel in Cusco.

FD MARAS MORAY WITH LUNCH (SIB) – (MINIMUM 2 PASSENGERS)

Located Northwest of Cusco, we will visit the huge circular and semicircular agricultural terraces near Moray, built inside natural holes on a limestone plateau facing Urubamba Valley, and used as a botanical lab by the Incas. A cosmopolitan meaning has been suggested, but its function, besides de agricultural one, remains a mystery. Nearby, after that you will enjoy a panoramic view of Maras, where we find the salt mines on old terraces and lagoons. Lunch included.

Day 7: Friday: Cusco, Puerto Maldonado (B, L & D)

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport .

Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the lodge.

Day 8: Puerto Maldonado (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Before the sun comes up at 5:30 am, have a coffee or hot tea before departing to Lake Sandoval. Your guide will bring along a box breakfast for the ride. After a 20-minute boat ride on the Madre de Dios River you will arrive to the dock at Lake Sandoval. Hike about 3 km through the exuberant vegetation of the tropical forest up to the territory of the Tambopata National Reserve. Here you can admire the giant trees, snakes, monkeys (squirrel, howler and or capuchin) birds (hoatzin, kingfisher and anhinga). Once at Lake Sandoval you will take a ride in small rowboats looking for the river otters. You will have the opportunity to see a large variety of reptiles, mammals and birds in their natural habitat. When the guide finds the ideal spot, you will have breakfast. Head back to the dock. The next adventure will take you to Monkey Island (It is important to clarify that this activity is optional and will be carried out depending on the season and according to the guide's criteria, because flooding makes it practically impossible to enter and walk around the island. On the other hand, there are times of the season in which it is necessary to leave the monkeys without interruption of the visit of tourists to help in their reproduction and in their life in the wild). On Monkey Island around 5 species of monkeys live in the wild. These animals are already used to visits by tourists and can get close to people so you must always follow the instructions of the guide. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will climb to the observation towers with an height of 42 meters, designed for bird watching and enjoying the sunset. You will also visit a native Shiringuero camp, where you will see the traditional process of collecting the rubber (better known as latex) that’s used for countless products. Before dinner you will have free time to enjoy the pool or a massage, drink something refreshing in our bar or visit our boutique.

Day 9: Puerto Maldonado (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

After breakfast, head 20 minutes down the river, where you will visit a farm of a local family. You will recognize and taste different tropical fruits and other products. It is a typical rural family in this area, who maintain very carefully and without chemicals some native plants that grow naturally and then take to the main market of Puerto Maldonado for consumption. Then visit the Machiguengauna family, one of the many ethnic groups that exist in the Peruvian Amazon. They will show part of the cultural value of their ancestors. Here you will enjoy a lunch with products from the jungle. Then you will have free time when you return to the lodge to visit the boutique, cool off in the pool, have a cocktail in the bar or have a relaxing massage. The day's activities will culminate with a tasty dinner.

Day 10: Puerto Maldonado - Lima (Breakfast)

Wake up early and have a coffee or tea before taking a 20 minute walk to the Parrot Collpa or Clay –Lick, where you will be able to see between 3 to 5 species of parrots that come down to eat from a special clay indispensable for their metabolism, in addition to an exciting color show. Come back to the lodge for breakfast and getting ready to head back to Port Capitanía where a car will be waiting for you to collect your additional luggage from the office. Then continue to the local market where you will have 15 to 20 minutes to explore and appreciate the different local products from which the population is supplied. After this visit you will continue on your way to the airport to check in to your respective flights.
